It's used for typing a message (SMS) in irregular way.
What the hell do you mean by "irregular way"?
I'll show you more. Some people are using this kind of messaging-style: H0W'5 1ìf€ Gö!n6¿ or alike, and seems difficult to use (although it's an arduous task, some people really really HAVE it as a habit). By using this midlet, they (or who ever) could type in regular way ("how's life going?") and it will be automatically converted into the style they want.
Looks like a crap...
